Newline's News Bulletin 3

September 2006

The anticipation was great for Black Magic's first show under the saddle at Tulbagh Show. She looked great at home but one never knows what will happen in the show ring. Everyone that saw her was not disappointed. She and Kevin put up a world class show! They won the Three Year Old Three Gaited Class in grand style and repeat the win next week at the W.P. Championship Show at Robertson. Perfect Timing's first performing foal prove to be a great hit! We hope the many mare owners in South Africa will recognise his immense breeding potential before it is too late.

Marius Day of Gauteng bought Heirloom and we hope that they will have lots of ribbons together in future! Congratulations! They look like they will be a fomidable team!

Heirloom once again won the Gentlemen's Three Gaited Title and unfortunately cast a shoe just before he entered the gate in the Three Gaited Grand Championship at Robertson. At Tulbagh he was Reserve in the Stallion/Gelding Qualifyer and Third in the Grand Championship.

Heirloom is now offered for sale and will  make a great mount for a child or Amateur/ ladies rider. Contact Ross at 082 807 3342 if you are interested.

April 2006

A beautiful stud colt was born at last for Instar Sugini and Perfect Timing! From the first day he was such a show-off and therfore is aptly named Freddie Mercury! We will definetely hear more from him in the future. He has his sire's animation and his mother's beauty. Remember his name. In time  he surely WILL ROCK YOU!!

March 2006

Black Magic unfortunately got sick from some unknown virus and we decided not to show her at Bloemfontein. Heirloom was the only Newline contender that showed at Bloem and he and Kevin put on a brave show in the Gentlemen's Three Gaited Class in the rain and mud. He got a 2nd placing from one of the judges but unfortunately one of the horses rode into Kevin and startled Heirloom at  the canter in front of one of the judges who then had no choice but not to place him. The third judge placed him fourth. The final placing when the cards were tabulated was a fifth placing.

Kevin later win his first S.A. Three Gaited Grand Champion Title on Touch The Moon. It was a great achievement for both rider and horse.
